Los Angeles Restaurant Inspection Data: Ratings, Areas & Freshness

A live, data-backed report on Los Angeles restaurant inspection results: current rating distribution, record freshness, local-area concentrations and repeated-name locations.

Live report. The measurements below are calculated from Cooked’s current copy of the official LA County Department of Public Health, Environmental Health feed and refresh after new data is ingested.

How to read this report

One row means one operating establishment or permit in the source—not necessarily one company. A restaurant with several separately permitted counters can appear more than once, while a business the authority marks as gone is excluded. Health-department closures remain included because they are active inspection facts.

“Clean”, “mid” and “cooked” are Cooked’s comparison bands; the authority’s own grade remains the source of truth. clean, mid, and cooked map to LA County’s A, B, and C window placards.

LA County Department of Public Health, Environmental Health publishes itemized findings for this feed, but this report compares current official results rather than treating every violation as equally serious. The local-area table uses only areas with a meaningful rated sample, and the repeated-name table describes matching public names rather than claiming common ownership.
