Inspector note: Plumbing / HVAC repairs were underway in the basement of the train station down the hall from the basement food preparation area. During the inspection two cockroaches (German) were observed exiting the area above the suspended ceiling and HVAC duct work and walking down the wall of the preparation room. A service call was placed with the building ownership. Work the pest control service contracted by the building management to mitigate the pest problem.

Non-Food Contact Surfaces Clean

Inspector note: Hot and mild pepper seeds and some vegetable skins were observed on the shelving below the food preparation surfaces. Though a full cleaning of the area had not been completed after the morning / afternoon food preparation it appears that some of the seeds and the skins were more than a day old. Clean and sanitize the shelving below the food preparation surfaces.
